tesa Laser Labels are extremely resistant to temperature – both high and low, chemicals, UV and physical effects. They also offer a strong and reliable bond to many different surfaces such as steel, aluminium, painted surfaces and plastics. This makes them ideal for applications such as VIN identification and other automotive labelling requirements, as wells warning and instruction labels amongst many others. A special “footprint” version is also available for added protection: in the unlikely event the label is ultimately removed a residue is left behind which shows up under UV light.
Both marking and cutting is performed by laser in one-step so it is possible to create microscript, bar and mini barcodes and other detailed graphics. Additionally a very high marking speed of up to 4000mm/sec can be achieved.
There are two principal variants: a double layered laser engravable foil where the top layer is removed by the laser leaving the base colour showing. Alternatively, in the single layer version, laser-sensitive pigments are embedded in the film which change colour and means emission-free marking. tesa 6931 PV2 has removable transparent protective layers which protect the label at each stage of the painting process. This material can be used as an identification label over the entire life-span of a product and also as a data carrier for process steering.
tesa Laser Labels are flexible and economic, enable high precision marking, provide tamper evidence and are resistant to heat, abrasion and chemicals.
