Once again, tesa are proud to sponsor the 'Best Print in Show' at this year's EFTA Print Awards 2008.
This highly prestigious Print Awards competition offers participating companies the opportunity to gain public recognition of their achievements and the outstanding degree of excellence the flexographic printing process has achieved in 2007.
The categories are:
LINE: - Printing made up of solids and lines.
SCREEN: - Any screen printing including tints,mezzotints, line tone or any other
special effect with / without line work.
PROCESS: - Any 3 colours with or without a 4th to produce a picture.
LINE/SCREEN COMBINED: A combination of line and screen work as defined above.
The classifications are:
FLEXIBLE PACKAGING
LABELS
FOLDING CARTONS
CORRUGATED POST PRINT
CORRUGATED PRE PRINT/SACKS
MISCELLANEOUS:
including envelopes and disposables, foil, wallpaper, coverings, gift wrap, stationery and Publications.
AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL INNOVATION:
There are 2 Awards for innovation - one for printers and one for suppliers.
AWARD FOR SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT OR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE INDUSTRY:
This will go to an individual, either printer or supplier who has, in the eyes of the Directors made an outstanding contribution to the industry.
AWARD FOR THE BEST FIRST TIME ENTRANT:
This will be judged from all entries from printers who are entering the awards for the first time this year.
AWARD FOR SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR:
EFTA members have been asked to nominate their choice of supplier of the year together with reasons for their choice.
AWARD FOR BEST PRINT BOUGHT OFF THE SHELF:
This award will go to a print which has been purchased “off the shelf” from a retailer or supplied by an end user.
SPECIAL AWARD FOR THE BEST PRINT OF THE YEAR:
This top award will be selected from the Gold winners of all the different classifications.
THE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS 2007:
CASH IN WASTE - this Award will be made to either the printer or supplier that has, in the eyes of the judges, contributed most to the saving of
resources and reduction of waste.
Awards to be held on Wednesday 5th March 2008 at Savilles Hall, The Royal Armouries, Leeds.
