tesa UK pledged funding for sensory play room at The Walnuts School

Earlier this year tesa UK pledged funding for a sensory play room in the communication centre of The Walnuts School in Hazeley, Milton Keynes . This is a specialist residential school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) who are unable to attend mainstream education and is the only school of its type in the area. Taking children between the ages of 4 to 16, the original planned intake of 90 pupils has increased to 130, and all will benefit from the caring atmosphere provided.

As a member of the United Nations Global Compact , tesa globally follows an integrated strategy for the sustained protection and support of children and young people worldwide with each tesa affliiate globally choosing a local community project to support. Other projects include the Sternbruecke (Bridge to the Stars) children's hospice in Hamburg, the Suzhou Sunshine School for children from migrant worker families in China and the Shepherd's Centre home for orphaned children in Malaysia.
