It is recommended that you leave the foil behind the radiator without fixing it to the wall. This will allow air to circulate between the wall and the foil. The foil is temperature resistant up to +70°C and there is no problem if the foil touches the radiator.

If you attempt to stick the foil with adhesive or tape to the wall, there is a risk that a thermal bridge may occur. A thermal bridge is an indoor spot which is so poorly insulated that air humidity may condensate on the wall, leading to mould fungus.

You can use pins to fix the foil to the wall, which would enable you to leave a sufficient gap to allow air to flow between the foil and wall.
