Duct Tape

Duct tapes sit at the utility end of the cloth tape spectrum. They have a mesh count of between 27 and 34 leading to a relatively low tensile strength, and PE coating which offers limited resistance to weathering. They are suitable for general purpose applications and the thick coating of rubber adhesive means they offer good adhesion to rough surfaces and are also very flexible.

tesa 4613 is our standard cloth duct tape and 0.18mm thick and tesa 4662 is 0.23mm. Both these tapes have a 27 mesh count. tesa 4663 has a 34 mesh count and is 0.3mm thick. Lastly, tesa 4664 has a 27 mesh backing but has a metallised PE coating and can be used in applications where such a backing might be preferred, for example in the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
