tesa ACXplus is a new category of double sided tape for high performance constructive bonding and is the highest performing product range made by tesa.
The high performance of tesa ACXplus is based on a special feature: viscoelasticity. Viscoelasticity describes a material which is defined by both viscous and elastic properties, with elastic restoring forces providing inner strength and the viscous part allows for relaxation of mechanical stresses.
The special balance between these two properties not only provides optimal wetting of different surfaces, but also absorbs dynamic forces and vibrations relieving stresses in the bond: thus the bond is both dimensionally stable and permanent.

As with all double sided tapes another very important feature of tesa ACXplus
is that it offers equal distribution of stress across the whole of the bonded area. This is in direct contrast to traditional means of bonding using screws, bolts, riveting and welding which can lead to localised weak points and even surface damage, leaving it vulnerable to corrosion. In addition there is no oozing at the bond which is the case with wet glues and adhesives and the high immediate bond means processes become more efficient.In addition tesa also offers more than just tapes:
