tesa 4341 High Temperature Masking Tape
A new high temperature masking tape is now available from tesa. Featuring an extruded natural rubber adhesive using our patented technology, tesa 4341 has many improvements over tesa 4304 which it is planned it will ultimately replace. For example, the adhesive retains the 140°C temperature resistance but residues and ghosting on removal have effectively been eliminated. Additionally modifications to the paper backing have resulted in improved tear resistance and an optimised release coat means tesa 4341 has much smoother and easier unwind properties than tesa 4304. Additionally, adhesion to the backing is also slightly improved - an important key feature during masking for any paint spraying process - but also valuable for picture framing applications, a particular niche for tesa 4304 in the UK where it has become a market standard. The improved appearance of the backing also adds to the aesthetics - another important consideration for this market.
tesa 4341 has been extensively tested at Fiat, Ford, BMW, Toyota, Nissan, VW and MAN where it is used for off-line paint repair.
