What is NVH?
Typically NVH and BSR problems can be divided into two categories. Firstly, noise caused by buzz, rattle and vibration, airborne noise or squeaks between adjoining components. Secondly, sealing, damping and bridging: sealing against water and dust leakage, bridging of gaps between component parts and damping of shock and vibration. The table below summarises the key issues, the type of tape backing required and respective properties.
